This year the St. Kilda Festival organisers asked the members of the Hare Krishna movement to officially be a part of the festival celebrations. So everyone at Hare Krishna Valley travelled to St. Kilda to represent our farm and speak to the public about our various activities. We were able to be a part of the Chariot parade, which travelled through the streets of St. Kilda. Our chariot was 2 storeys high, and was trucked down from our farm in Murwillumbah in Northern NSW. The public were amazed at the colour and beauty of the chariot as it was drawn through the streets.

At the end of the parade we all assembled in the park to participate in a Hare Krishna Festival for the pleasure of the tens of thousands of people gathered. This included a cooking demonstration from our good friend Kurma dasa, who will be running another vegetarian cooking retreat at Hare Krishna Valley in the beginning of April.
